Search I, II, and III. Cyanotype onto of CMYK Image-On prints.
I just can’t let go of overprinting. Layers upon layers upon layers…there’s something there for me. The biggest challenge for me these last 6 months or so is trying to figure out how to take my usual approach (just DO, SEE, and assign meaning found or discovered later) and structure it in a more useful way. I’ve always had an aesthetic but have enjoyed working with it in a very intuitive, unstructured way. The process of making has always been important. As I move forward, however, into more developed work a question continues to nag me: how do I recreate the rarefied end-results (of layers and layers, etc) that I am so in love with?
It feels like I’m working backwards trying to figure this all out and that may be just exactly what I’m doing.
